I have now finished my college magazine and now i am starting my music magazine project.

product evaluation

I am going to evaluate both my College Front Cover and my Contents Page.

I designed my front cover using photoshop, this enabled me to warp my text into different positions; the effect of this gave my front cover a youthful take as it wasn't too conservative. From my market research i found out that the students wanted a bright coloured front page, therefore i decided to use bright colours of pink and green which relates to both sex. I used various different fonts in my front page to attract the attention of the students, for my masthead i used a 60's font whereas for my coverlines i used a graffiti style fonts.

I faced many drawbacks during the process of creating the front cover, this included the conposition of the front cover. I found it hard to put the magazine together in terms of making it proportional, i overcame this problem by playing around with the layouts until i found the right position.

For my contents page i again used various different colours to match my cover page, i included an image in the contents page and

used different fonts.  I decided to for this design because it wasn't to minimalistic and related to my front cover. However. I am not fully pleased with the outcome with the contents page, as i didn't spend enough time on the contents page and therefore i feel that i could have done better.
